After a hiatus of four to five years, Ameesha Patel, the talented actress of Gadar 2, is gearing up to make a comeback as Sakina on the silver screen. Patel believes that the wait was worth it as she feels that fate had something special in store for her. In an interview with BollywoodLife, she expressed her happiness about the positive changes she sees in the film industry.

According to Patel, the industry has become less hypocritical compared to earlier times. She appreciates the increased acceptance in society, especially regarding relationships and public displays of affection (PDA). Previously, acknowledging a relationship or engaging in PDA was considered damaging to one's image. However, now people are more accepting, which Patel finds commendable. She also loves the fact that there is ample room for different types of actors, whether they are playing traditional heroes, anti-heroes, or part of a talented ensemble cast.

During the interview, Ameesha Patel expressed her admiration for Aditya Roy Kapur, whom she considers a remarkable actor. She thoroughly enjoyed his performance in the show "The Night Manager" and has seen his other works as well. Additionally, she has a fondness for Kartik Aaryan and appreciates the energetic vibe he brings to his roles. Sidharth Malhotra also caught her attention with his talent. Patel expressed her willingness to work with these younger actors if she comes across an exceptional script and a well-defined role. For her, finding the right match between the script and the actor is crucial, as it sets the stage for success.

Lately, there has been a lot of discussion surrounding the trend of Bollywood superstars over 50 years of age choosing to work with actresses in the 25 to 35 age range. Some have faced criticism for such pairings, which were perceived as mismatched. Patel believes that Ajay Devgn makes sensible choices in this regard, often working with actresses closer to his age, as seen in the film "Drishyam." She acknowledges that it can be acceptable for an actor to work with a much younger co-star if the script and story demand it. Ultimately, the audience's verdict determines the success of such pairings.

Ameesha Patel also opened up about her own experiences in the industry. She revealed that people had expressed concerns about her on-screen romance with Sunny Deol, citing their age difference and her portrayal as a mother. However, Patel had no hesitation because she understood that it was an integral part of the story and the character she was assigned. At the time, she was studying in Boston while juggling her film career.

As Ameesha Patel eagerly awaits her return in Gadar 2, her words reflect her excitement about the evolving industry, her appreciation for talented actors, and her willingness to embrace diverse opportunities on the big screen.
