The upcoming sequel to the 2019 action-thriller film War will see Jr NTR replace Tiger Shroff as the main antagonist. The film will be directed by Ayan Mukerji, who is also known for directing the upcoming film Brahmastra. Hrithik Roshan will be reprising his role as Kabir, the protagonist from the first film.
Kiara Advani is one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood right now. She has had a string of successful films in recent years, and she is only getting more popular. So it was no surprise when rumors started circulating that she was roped in for Ayan Mukerji's War 2, the sequel to the 2019 action-thriller film War.

"While I would love to do an action film, I would love to work with all the people you have mentioned, I cannot speak further on any other movie," she said. "Until a production house announces what's next, I can't speak on it. Though I would really love to on many other projects I stay tight-lipped for now."
War 2 is a part of Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe. Films that fall into this man-made Universe include Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger franchise, War, Pathaan, and now War 2. Earlier in June, rumors started doping around of Kiara joining the cast of War 2 as the leading lady. "Kiara Advani fits the bill to a T as far as YRF Spy Universe and War 2 is considered. Kiara is right now at the top of the heap and Adi (Aditya Chopra) taking her for War 2 loudly signifies that" claimed a source, as cited by a media portal.
If Advani does sign on for War 2, it would be a major coup for the film. She is one of the most popular actresses in Bollywood right now, and she would add a lot of star power to the film. It would also be a great opportunity for her to showcase her action skills.
War 2 is currently in the pre-production stage, and no other details have been revealed yet. However, it is expected to be a high-octane action film with a lot of visual effects. The film is scheduled to release in 2024.
