Rajinikanth Takes a Break in the Maldives After Completing Lal Salaam Shoot
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has decided to unwind and enjoy a well-deserved vacation in the Maldives after wrapping up the shooting for his upcoming film Lal Salaam. The movie, directed by his daughter Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth, features Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in leading roles, with Rajinikanth making an extended cameo appearance as Moideen Bhai.
While the film's release date is yet to be announced, the 72-year-old actor took some time off from his work commitments to relax in the serene beauty of the Maldives. A picture of Rajinikanth enjoying his leisure time on the beach has been making rounds on the internet.
In the photo, Rajinikanth can be seen dressed casually in a red shirt paired with black and white printed shorts, strolling barefoot along the beach with the vast blue sea as the backdrop. Reports suggest that he flew to the Maldives last week to embark on this much-needed vacation.
Prior to his departure, Entertainment Industry Tracker Ramesh Bala shared two sets of pictures on Twitter, one of Rajinikanth about to board the flight and another of him arriving at his destination. The tweet read, "Superstar Rajinikanth on his way from Chennai to the Maldives." In the first photograph, Rajinikanth can be seen posing in front of a Sri Lankan Airlines plane, sporting a black shirt and beige joggers, while carrying a sling bag. The second photo captures the airline staff welcoming the esteemed actor on board with a bouquet of flowers.
As for the film Lal Salaam, it showcases Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in prominent roles, with Rajinikanth making a special appearance as Moideen Bhai. The first-look poster of Rajinikanth in the film was unveiled by Lyca Productions in May, featuring him wearing a long coat, white trousers, a red Nehru cap, and black sunglasses. Although the first look received mixed responses from fans, who believed it could have been better, the release date for the film has not been announced yet.
On another note, Rajinikanth's upcoming film Jailer, an action thriller, boasts a star-studded cast including Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Ramya Krishna. The film is scheduled to hit the big screens on August 10.
