Taylor Swift Joins List of Musicians Targeted by Objects Thrown During Concerts

During her Eras tour, Taylor Swift experienced an unfortunate incident where objects were thrown at her during a concert. A video capturing the incident surfaced, showing Swift ducking as unruly fans threw bracelets at her.

The occurrence has deeply upset many of the Grammy award-winning artist's fans, who have expressed their anger at this "disrespectful and hurtful" trend. In a TikTok video shared recently, Swift was seen being escorted off the stage by her security guards. The crowd erupted with excitement as she passed by, and fans shouted to her from above.

However, amidst the excitement, some fans were seen throwing objects at Taylor while her security team attempted to deflect them. The 33-year-old singer was observed dodging the falling items, as reported by mirror.co.uk.

One concerned individual wrote, "Haven't people seen all the artists getting hurt by fans throwing things at them? I'm sure she's frightened by this. Don't throw things at her!" Another person expressed, "Stop freaking out our girl!" while a third fan insisted, "She could get injured. Please, don't do this, guys."

Fans voiced their concerns that these incidents may discourage performers from continuing their tours if such occurrences persist. Referencing a previous incident involving Bebe Rexha, one fan remarked, "Ever since that #BebeRexhar incident, these concerts haven't been the same. Throwing things at celebrities has become a nasty trend. I mean, what on earth is wrong with these morons?"

As of now, Taylor Swift has not publicly addressed the incident.

She joins a growing list of musicians who have fallen victim to this unruly trend of having to evade objects thrown at them while performing live. Both Harry Styles and Bebe Rexha were recently struck in the face during their respective shows.

Following the incident where she shared pictures of her bruised eye on Instagram, Bebe Rexha took drastic measures to ensure her safety, wearing protective glasses during subsequent performances.

Ava Max also experienced an unpleasant encounter when a concert-goer slapped her during one of her shows, while Drake was left stunned when a fan threw a phone at him during a performance in Chicago. Adele has even issued a stern warning to her fans, urging them to refrain from throwing objects at performers.

According to an expert interviewed by The Mirror, these physical attacks can be attributed to "extreme fandom."
