The Dhaka University Alumni Association UK, an organization of Dhaka University graduates living in the United Kingdom, recently conducted its third annual general meeting.
On Sunday, July 9, the Annual General Meeting took place in a festive setting at a hotel in London.
The meeting was presided over by the organization's president, Mohammad Enamul Haque. Anwar Kabir Khan, the outgoing secretary general's solicitor, oversaw the first phase.
Kachi Kabir, a well-known businessman, social worker, and author, was chosen as the new president. Councilor Khaled Millat was chosen as general secretary, while chartered accountant Ajit Kumar Saha was chosen as treasurer.
During the second segment of the event, acting general secretary Prof. Dr. Sirajul Haque Chowdhury presided.
Rahman Jilani, the founding president, and Prof. Dr. Abul Kalam Azad were present. Vice President Masuma Akter, Dr. Shampa Dewan, Senior Vice President Adhir Ranjan Das (Tanu), Vice President Nasirullah Khan Junaid, Vice President, Solicitor Cynthia Das, Ashraf Zaman, Abdul Hakim Bhuiyan, Bulbul Ahmed, Councilor Saima Ahmed, Shamima Begum Mita, Minara Sultana, Solicitor Halim Bepari, Dr. Abdul Awal, Dr. Abdul Awal, and others.
