From Neymar's previous team Santos, Premier League club Chelsea has acquired 18-year-old forward Angelo Gabriel. To sign this 2004-born player who competed for Brazil's Under-20 team, Chelsea had to shell out 15 million euros, or more than Tk 179 crore in Bangladeshi currency.
On Wednesday, July 12, the young man's physical examination will be finished. Then he will fly to America to go to the club's practice.
Santos is referred regarded as the talent mine. Pele and Neymar, two talented players, have come out of this club. Angelou will be the newest name on that list. He has a spot in the starting XI of the Brazilian Serie A team at the age of 18. Neymar will now travel to the European exam, following in Rodrigo's footsteps.
He will be a part of Chelsea's junior team together with Kennedy Perez, Andre Santos, and the newest Under-20 World Cup player, Cesare Kasedai.
Angelou, a winger who was born in 2004, has excellent speed. Dribbling is also a great move. He participated in a national championship game at the Maracana Stadium in 2020 versus Fluminense at the age of 15 years and 308 days. He was the club's youngest participant in this competition when he played the final 30 minutes of that day. He also broke Pele Santos' record for the youngest debut. Before Neymar participated in this competition for the first time, his 17th birthday had already passed.
When Angelou scored at the age of 16 against San Lorenzo in 2021, he set a new record for the Copa Libertadores' youngest goal scorer. However, he had to first struggle a little with form. The statistics have also been impacted by it. In 129 games for Santos, Angelou has contributed 10 assists but only five goals. Football experts, however, contend that his goal total alone cannot adequately characterize him.
